Opportunities for students, faculty, and alumni
Through academic and co-curricular activities, students will learn by using the city of Chicago as “text.” Each semester, two or three courses are offered in a variety of topics including fine arts, politics, and history. Co-curricular activities are numerous and include trips to museums, concerts, and culinary explorations.
An internship is an important component of the Carthage in Chicago experience. The Office of Career Services, in partnership with Carthage faculty, alumni, and friends, have secured internships in more than 30 companies. Students may elect to pursue a major project instead of an internship, such as a service-based learning experience, research project, or independent study.
